Why I Do This Work

My Ancestry

My greatest inspirations are rooted in my ancestry. The messy stories from my parents’ journeys across Europe during World War II – to their cultural activism and strong community as immigrants in the United States – informed my perception of the world at a young age. This has been a journey down a winding road of uncovering generational trauma. Then taking that trauma and transforming it into gifts of joy, resilience, empathy, and healing.

My Journey

I have been a high school teacher for over 18 years in many different capacities. I took what I love most about teaching teenagers to build Flutter Space. Flutter Space is an invitation to dig deep, go inward, ask questions, be curious, and love yourself. It invites you to take a journey through your personal landscape and our collective consciousness. To embark on a personal metamorphosis to find your courage and spread your wings.

My Discovery

Mindfulness meditation practices, yoga, and the spirit of cannabis have helped me become more centered, open, and joyful. They have given me tools to become a more authentic spouse, parent, friend, and guide.

My Family

Today, I live in Redondo Beach, California with my husband, my daughter, my son, and my two dogs. I am a desert woman at heart and love to spend my free time at our homestead in Yucca Valley, California.
